Outlanders Southern Chicken has a very simple concept: fresh made, natural chicken with homemade sauces. We have chicken, and chicken. Outlanders is a family oriented restaurant where parents and children can all eat happily. The kids can run around the restaurant. Dad can sit down and have a beer. Uncle Bud’s Catfish was in the building before Outlanders took up residency, but when Brian saw the building he knew the deck would have been the perfect spot for his chicken joint. The day the building became available, Summers had a handshake agreement that afternoon. Summers didn’t want to settle for any location. He wanted the perfect atmosphere.
Outlanders community interaction has been strong since it opened. They’ve done several fundraisers with Sunset Middle School, one of them helping the cheerleaders raise money for uniforms. The restaurant provided chicken for one of Ravenwood’s pep rallys. Summers said it was so successful he had to come back to the store more than once to get more chicken to feed the fans.
“We’re about high quality food and service and I think bringing that to the town of Nolensville has been terrific. People absolutely appreciate it,” Summers said.
If you’re not getting chicken fingers (fried, grilled or tossed in a sauce of your choice), Summers recommends getting one of their chicken sandwiches on Texas toast. You might try starting your meal with a basket of fried pickles with habanero-ranch dressing or our Fried Buffalo Mac-n-CHZ with hickory smoked bacon. Our chicken is marinated for 24 hours in a special blend of southern spices and served "naked" or tossed with one of more than a dozen specialty sauces. Outlanders specializes in fresh chicken, in-house cut fries and a variety of homemade sauce
How We Do What We Do
We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. At Outlanders, we're not a fan of freezers, microwaves or ovens. Fresh quality chicken with in-house cut fries and sauces is what we are about. Our chicken tenders are marinated and cooked to order any way you like them - fried, grilled or tossed in one of our several sauces. You can even try our wings, boneless or not, tossed in anything from Island Mango and Thunderbird sauces to any of our four delicious dry rubs. Beyond chicken, we also make a pretty mean Fried Buffalo Mac-n-CHZ
